Short Story For Kids Tonight

Dear kids this short story is about helping and sacrificing for needy people. Be like Carter.

 Spirit of Sacrifice

Carter was very happy because he had saved $ 2000 with his hard word. He had no relative left in this world. His parents died in a road accident when he was in 7th grade. His cruel neighbor kicked him away from his house and occupied his house. Carter used to wander around here and there and at last he found a job in farm fields. He started to work very hard and after some time he started his education again. He also started to save some money and now $2000 was his property. He was thinking to get new clothes, shoes and a good mobile set. So with this planning he went towards the market.
On the way towards market he saw a T V shop where news channel was on. He heard the news about a disastrous flood in his country. Thousands of people were expected to be homeless. He saw the scenes of those disastrous moments on T V. Homeless people were requesting for the shelter from the other people. Carter’s eyes were filled with tears. He thought about his own condition when he was homeless.
I must help them. He said to himself.
He donated all his savings towards flood relief fund. He was now satisfied that he had helped his brothers and sisters. This thought made a smile on his face.
